Your Impact:

  • You will prepare timely and accurate financial statements and co-lead external audits. You will manage a small team. You are expected to be a dynamic, flexible, self-starter, with a strong work ethic and high integrity. You will support the company on its pre-IPO journey, and work with highly reputable auditors, advisors, and brokers.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Lead the consolidation process, ensuring the elimination of intercompany transactions and balances and consolidation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
    • Prepare consolidated financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or relevant accounting standards.
    • Provide timely and insightful analysis of financial performance to support decision-making processes.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
    • Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
    • Monitor budgetary performance and provide variance analysis.
  • Internal Controls and Compliance:
    • Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to foster their growth and development.
    • Delegate tasks effectively, set clear expectations, and monitor performance to ensure goals are met.
  • IPO Preparation and Acquisition Integration:
    • Play a key role in preparing financial documentation and disclosures for the IPO process.
    • Conduct a thorough assessment of the entity's reporting status and evaluate the transition requirements from NPAE to PAE under TFRS guidelines.

Your ideal profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 6 years experience; 3+ within a Big4 firm, and 3+ in a corporate environment (ideally listed), must have led external financial audit
  • Highly autonomous, can work under minimum guidance and enjoys accountability
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, TFRS, and international accounting standards related to consolidation accounting.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills (English) a must
  • Independent Work and Attention to Detail: accountability, the ability to be proactive, flexible and reactive, the ability to positively respond to stressors, ambiguity and change, the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Effective Communication and Collaboration: strong collaborative communication skills, fostering teamwork and stakeholder management
  • Software proficiency: advanced skills in Excel and GSheets for data analysis and reporting strongly preferred
  • Xero certification or experience in Xero accounting software desirable
